Oh Where Oh Where
has my husband been? The Basement. Gary has been working day and night in our basement and has made huge progress. It never ceases to amaze me how much he can do. One day he is a plumber, the next an electrician and the next a painter. He definitely has the handyman gift, which is great because I didn't get any of it. Since he has been working so hard in the basement, Brayden and I typically go down for a short time every night to see the progress and help (or hinder) when possible. Brayden decided that he was going to help Daddy paint last night. What does that really mean? Brayden has a blast getting paint all over himself and quite a bit on the wall and Gary has to touch-up the paint that went above the "do not go above this" line.
Brayden posing for his pic while painting=our first boo boo above the do not cross line.
Daddy showing Brayden how much quicker the roller works.
Oops! Paint in the hair and on the hands and clothes. He really did get the majority on the wall.

Good thing little boys wash.
Basement Progress:
This is the workout room. It is painted and stained so all that is left is a little paint touch-up, flooring, a ceiling fan and wall decorations. It is our Colts themed room so it is grey and blue. Any ideas for flooring?
This is our shower. It is all plummed and poured and the cabinets have been ordered. It could be a little while before it is done because I am having a hard time deciding on the color of granite and tile.
This is the guest bedroom. The staining is done and the painting is getting closer. The top of the room is the final color and the bottom is going to be a deep red. I am really excited to finally have my red room! After painting, the only task left is the flooring, which I think I have decided on sandstone frize or something similar.

Bath Buddies
Frances came over for a play date last week, and the kids decided that they needed to take a bath. Unfortunately I don't think they were near as concerned about getting clean as they were about playing with Brayden's bath toys.
Here is a picture of Brayden with his ornery smile, which everyone knows means that he is up to no good. Then there is Frances with her cute, innocent smile asking Brayden "What are you doing Brayden?"
The Answer: Here are the kids jumping back when Brayden turns the jets on. Frances was a little shocked to begin with but then really liked the jets and even more the bubbles they produced.
