Happy New Year

We rang the new year in with the Negangards. We ate a feast at the Grub's all you can eat steak and crab legs buffet and then headed over the Aunt Gay and Uncle Shawn's house. Brayden, Avery and Brynn played with Brayden's new race car track and had a tea party in Dora's house.

Then on New Year's Day, we headed over to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Buxton's to give them their Christmas presents and wish them a great new year.

Christmas Adventures

This year we spent most of the holidays away from home. We went to Batesville the weekend before Christmas and Christmas Eve to spend time with the Jewells. We had a great time.

Brayden really enjoyed his race car track and his new football. He loves to play tackle.

Then we headed to Columbus, OH Christmas Eve to eat our favorite steak, crab and lobster meal. My sister, Tricia, had everyone over to their new house Christmas Day. The food was great and company even better. We had our Christmas exchange game and the funniest gift this year was a snowball maker and snowman kit. Our Christmas pic in front of Tricia's beautiful fireplace. We must have a thing for fireplaces.

Jaxx and Bella on their new pillows. These were Christmas presents and they were awesome. Jaxx loved his so much that he was on it most of the time we were in Columbus. He still loves it at home but thinks he needs to sleep on Bella's bigger one.

Rob and Justin?????

They have always been a little special. Back to the adventures. Brayden and I stayed in Columbus until Friday just hanging out with Tricia, Justin, Rob, Erica and Mom. We shopped, ate, and ate some more. We also went to the Bodies exhibit, which was pretty neat and not so gross if you've ever taken gross anatomy. We left Friday and headed back to Osgood. Gary had been in Indy working on the basement and met us for Christmas with the Collins clan on Sunday. We had the best time playing the Nintendo Wii. We found out our fitness age.

Dad: 36 y.o.

Mom: 74 y.o.

Gary: 22 y.o. and Dionne: 64 y.o. I might be old but I whooped Gary in some volleyball.

Got Snow?

Brayden was so excited that the Collins and Jewells were able to spend the night after his birthday party. Even after staying up really late, Brayden was bright eyed Sunday morning and ready to go outside and play in the snow. He had a great time throwing snowballs and playing in his little house with Bailey and Aunt Carey. Unfortunately, it was a little too cold for Brayden to stay outside long, which was probably good since Carey was wearing shorts.

Breakfast With Santa

This year we went to our third annual Breakfast with Santa at Oakhill Mansion. My Aunt Sharon and Uncle Bob own Oakhill and always reserve a few seats for us to experience Santa in a very neat way. This year was the first time Brayden would sit on Santa's lap and smile. But as soon as the pictures were done, so was Brayden. After the picture, Santa asked Brayden what he would like for Christmas, and Brayden was frozen with a deer in the headlight gaze. After a few minutes of no change, Santa put Brayden on the floor and asked him again. Brayden whispered, an air hockey table. He got his bracelet souvenir and headed straight to Mommy and Daddy. A pretty successful Santa encounter. Thanks for the great time Aunt Sharon and Uncle Bob.

Three years old!!!

Sorry I'm so behind on my blog. December has been crazy but good. We celebrated Brayden's third birthday with Frances who also turned three. Brayden decided on a Cars theme so a Lightning McQueen cake it was. It turned out pretty good even though it took some work trying to get the icing the right red.

The party went great and we were so happy so many of our friends and family could join us for the celebration. The pinata was definitely a highlight. It was so much fun to watch the kids take their best swing to get to the candy. Here is Brayden's swing for the fence. I think it looks a little like his Daddy's.

Thanks to everyone for sharing in this special day and all of the wonderful gifts. Now that we're back from our Christmas travels, we have to play with all of his new toys every day. It is a lot of fun.
